The Together Hub – Pop-Up Pantry Coming to Gilberdyke!

Wednesday 28th January 1pm-3pm
War Memorial Hall, Conference Room

We’re excited to announce the launch of The Together Hub, Gilberdyke’s new monthly pop-up pantry—bringing affordable food, friendship, and local support right to the heart of the village.

Residents are warmly invited to join us at the War Memorial Hall on Wednesday 28th January for our first session. The Together Hub is more than just a pantry. It’s a welcoming space where you can:

  • Choose affordable pantry items
  • Enjoy free hot drinks, biscuits, and cakes
  • Sit, chat, and make new connections
  • Take part in activities such as board games and jigsaws
  • Access local support services while you’re there

Community Pantry

The Community Pantry is open to all residents living in Blacktoft, Eastrington, Gilberdyke, Hook, Kilpin and Laxton. The purpose is to make affordable food accessible to all. Everyone who accesses the pantry must register as a member and will pay £5 for approx. £15-£20 worth of food and essential items.

We’re pleased to welcome two visiting organisations at our launch event:

Yorkshire Energy Doctor

Offering friendly, practical support for anyone worried about energy bills or fuel poverty. They can help you understand your tariff, check for discounts, and access available financial support schemes.

Social Prescriber

Here to chat about your wellbeing and link you with wider support, including community groups, mental health services, financial guidance, and much more.

Whether you’re looking for affordable food, a warm drink, good company, or some advice—it’s all under one roof.

Everyone is welcome. Pop in, say hello, and experience what The Together Hub has to offer.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This project is funded by Two Ridings Community Fund and is for residents living in Blacktoft, Eastrington, Gilberdyke, Hook, Kilpin and Laxton.
