East Riding Food Poverty Alliance
Together, we stand united against food poverty
Who are we?
The East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA) is a partnership of food charities, voluntary and community sector organisations. The Alliance aims to identify the actions needed to improve local support for people living in food poverty across the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Together we stand united against food poverty.
Our Story
ERFPA was set up in June 2020 and is supported by Community Vision (formerly ERVAS), who act as the locally trusted organisation for the alliance. In line with our Strategic Plan, in 2023ERFPA registered as a charity with the Charity Commission. Charity Number: 1201789.
Why our work matters
Many residents across the East Riding face severe financial hardship and multiple inequalities — low pay, limited employment opportunities, gaps in skills, and poor health. The ongoing cost of living crisis has intensified these challenges, increasing demand for food crisis support. ERFPA provides joined-up, holistic support to help people through immediate crisis and towards longer-term stability.
