East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA)
Together: Supporting Food Security for Everyone in the East Riding
Welcome to the East Riding Food Poverty Alliance. We are a partnership of food charities, voluntary and community-sector organisations that work together to support residents across the East Riding of Yorkshire who are experiencing food poverty. Whether through emergency food parcels, community pantries, social-supermarket provision, or practical support — our members strive to ensure that no one in our region goes hungry.
By working collaboratively, we share best-practice, coordinate support, prevent food waste, and aim to build a resilient, county-wide network of accessible, dignified food support services.

Why This Network Matters
The East Riding is a large and geographically diverse area — including rural villages, towns and coastal communities. Many of our residents face financial hardship, rising living costs, or isolation. By bringing together foodbanks, pantries and support organisations under one alliance, we:
- Ensure consistent, joined-up support across the region
- Make better use of surplus food and donations, reducing waste while increasing food supply to those in need
- Provide a resilient network so that if one pantry or foodbank has limited stock, other member organisations can help
- Work strategically to offer long-term solutions, not just emergency parcels — helping to prevent food poverty and support sustainable access to affordable food.
