ERFPA Trustee Jayne Nendick Awarded MBE in King’s Birthday Honours

Everyone at the East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA) is delighted to congratulate our trustee, Jayne Nendick MBE, on receiving a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours.

Jayne has been recognised for services to the community in Withernsea and South East Holderness, a fitting tribute to decades of tireless dedication to improving the lives of local people.

Throughout her career, Jayne has been at the heart of community development in Withernsea. As the driving force behind the SHoRes Centre, she has helped create services that support thousands of residents through food provision, employment support, skills development, home care and advice for people facing hardship. Her commitment has transformed lives and strengthened communities across the region.

Jayne has also brought her wealth of experience, passion and insight to ERFPA since becoming a trustee in 2023. Her understanding of the challenges facing communities experiencing food insecurity has helped shape our work and strengthened our mission to tackle food poverty across the East Riding.

This national honour recognises not only Jayne’s outstanding leadership but also her unwavering belief that everyone deserves access to support, opportunity and dignity. Those values are shared across ERFPA, and we are proud to have her as part of our Board of Trustees.

On behalf of everyone at ERFPA, we offer our warmest congratulations to Jayne on this thoroughly deserved recognition. We thank her for her continued commitment to our charity and to the communities she has served with such compassion and determination.
