Bio-D Company are the latest organisation to offer support to East Riding Food Poverty Alliance, by donating surplus stock to the East Riding Hygiene Support. This donation will be used to support residents across the region who are struggling to afford the cost of hygiene and personal care items.
Hygiene poverty is a huge issue which is often overlooked- many parents are having to choose between cleaning themselves or their children. They are having to share toothbrushes and reuse soiled nappies. Teenagers are skipping school as they can’t wash their hair or clothes. There is still stigma surrounding hygiene poverty.
These amazing donations of fabric conditioner, all purpose cleaners and hand wash will be redistributed across the region to individuals through food banks, community groups and charities.
